Recollecting, Rename, Recordar

This artist book is an invitation into my home, beginning with a window, a play on transparency. Like a collector arranging artifacts, we decorate our homes to construct a narrative, one that reflects who we are and the life we imagine for ourselves. Here, that narrative is built from objects carried from Mexico and others gathered along the way, alongside words adrift between languages — floating, dispersed, caught in transition from Spanish to English: words lost in translation, and others created only because of it.
